Behind the Scenes

Before I continue with my coverage of IML, I’d like to take a moment to write about another recent event in my life. Many of you probably don’t know that for the past ten months, I’ve had the most amazing partner. I know, to some of you, that may not seem very long, but to me, it’s the longest relationship I’ve ever had. As you may already know, the four kink events that have changed my life (Palm Coast, Minneapolis, Denver, and IML) have taken place within that ten months. With every trip, he’s been there in the shadows, supporting every one of my endeavors that have led me to where I am today. The journey thus far would have been much harder without him.

It saddens me to my core to say that yesterday was our last day together, as he has gone off to pursue a career and thus begin his life, post-graduation.

Of course on the heels of my return from IML, this is a sadness atop an emptiness, but I think it is important to reflect on how far we’ve come. Our past ten months together have been the best of my life. While much of it can be attributed to the vast expansion of my kink life, most of it has his name on it. He’s been my Dom, my key holder, my friend, my inspiration, my motivation, and most importantly, my partner.

As we said our goodbyes, through tears and sobs, I gave him a small kink related keepsake as a thank you for the amazing support and help that he has shown me. I hope that it acts as a reminder of our amazing times together, but also a seed to begin a new kinky lifestyle of his own.

On that note I simply say to him now: Thank you for everything that you’ve done for me and best of luck on your endeavors! I’m here for you and I always will be! I love you!
